Since joining the team in 2015 as our first Network Engineer, Deepika has made a huge impact in keeping our data centers ahead of the curve so we can better serve our customers! We connected with her on what she loves about life inside and outside of Drawbridge.
What are your main responsibilities at Drawbridge?
I build internet services for our office and data centers. Specifically I make sure our data centers talk to each other, and also to the world.
What brought you to Drawbridge?
I moved to the US to complete my Master’s degree at Southern Illinois University, and moved to the SF Bay Area to work for a leading pharmaceutical company, where I traveled internationally to bring various offices “online.” Drawbridge is the first martech company I’ve worked for and I’m learning a lot about the space. I love the team here at Drawbridge – the technology we are into is very intriguing and pioneering.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I’m into fitness and “healthy living,” so to speak. I love to hit the gym and do yoga whenever I find time. I’ve been recently playing ping pong and it’s so much fun!
Anything else we should know?
My hometown is Chennai, a city in Southern India. I’m a big Marvel fan. And I don’t drink coffee or tea, but can still pull off a 12+ hour work-day when needed!
Okay – what about the picture?
This was taken on my birthday this year. My folks surprised me with an aerial flight tour over the San Francisco peninsula. It was my second time flying a plane (completely supervised). You never know – I might take up my own private pilot lessons someday.
